Equality Impact Assessments

Any new or proposed policy, strategy, function and service design proposal need to be equality impact assessed to ensure that they do not have any adverse impact on a particular group of individuals.

The assessments consider differences on the basis of: disability, race, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, religion & belief and age.

Equality Impact assessments predict problems before they occur and respond to any ongoing concerns.

This happens by looking at all available information about how different people (including our staff) experience our services and activities.

The PCT has developed a toolkit to help with this process

Equality Impact Assessment forms

A schedule of existing PCT policies has been developed to ensure that Equality Impact Assessments are carried out.
