Action for Advocacy
Aim of the Pilot
The aim of the pilot is to improve the health and well being of migrant communities in East Sussex by improving awareness of and access to NHS services.
The service works across all NHS organisations in East Sussex including GP, dental, hospital and mental health services.
Qualified bi-lingual advocates will work with a person over a maximum of six sessions, identifying the desired health outcomes and working with the service user towards their agreed goals.
This pilot service is funded through the Migrant Impact Fund and is contracted to run until August 2012 after which the pilot will be fully evaluated.
If you wish to provide feedback about your experience of the pilot or request promotion materials for the service please complete our feedback form.
