Throughout the pilot period there is a focus on learning and gathering evidence as to whether advocacy is an effective intervention in promoting better health outcomes for migrants and more efficient use of NHS services. This includes bringing the advocates, service providers and service commissioners together to review the service, how it operates and how it could be improved.
The pilot has also drawn on external research to identify where and how advocacy could deliver the greatest impact in terms of health and well being and some of that research is available via the links below.
