1.Does your organisation make use of an interface (integration) engine for the processing of inbound and outbound messages and if so who is your current supplier? Some organisations for example utilise interface engines such as Microsoft Biztalk 2002 or products from Sun, Rhapsody or Orion which facilitates the exchange of information between various systems and in a variety of message formats. What is your approximate spend on such a solution? 2.Does your organisation make use of a master patient index (MPI) and if so who is your current supplier? A master patient index system makes it easier to ensure patients are correctly identified and minimises the number of duplicate health records held for each patient. The system is essentially a database that contains a unique identifier for every patient and all registration systems would look to the MPI to obtain information based on several identifiers. Other terminology used for this system is Enterprise Master Patient Index from suppliers such as Orion Health or Graphnet. What is your approximate spend on such a solution?
