I would like to know how many funding applications for Cyberknife Radiotherapy Treatment your Primary Care Trust have received between February 2008 to the current date (might also be referred to as Stereotactic Radiotherapy). I would also like to know how many applications for Cyberknife funding your PCT have either sent to, or received from the South East Coast Specialised Commissioning Group in the same period. Additionally, if possible I would like to know the policy reason why these applications were refused. My understanding is that there have been over twelve applications, sent to eight individual PCTs in Surrey, Sussex and Kent, which were then passed them to the Commissioning Group_ |

On 31 October 2010, the Department of Health withdrew central funding for the NHS Appraisal Toolkit, which is used by doctors to submit their appraisal material online. Instead, the NHS is now expected to make local arrangements for appraisals. My questions are: Does the PCT now pay for, or part subsidise, access to the NHS Appraisal Toolkit for GPs post 31 October 2010 (please give details)? If yes, how much does it pay/subsidise per GP for access, and what is the total cost to the PCT in doing this? If no, why did the PCT choose to not fund access to the toolkit, and what alternative arrangements have been made for GPs in your area? If the PCT chose to not fund access, how many GPs have chosen to pay themselves for access to the toolkit? What was the PCT's reaction to the decision to withdraw central funding? (Please provide any documents or letters that refer to this reaction). |
