Alcohol Awareness Week 19 – 23 October 2009

During Alcohol Awareness Week everyone is being urged to ‘rethink their drink’.

Keep a drink diary

The East Sussex Safer Communities Partnership (the PCT is a member) is supporting the national Know Your Limits campaign, which is encouraging people across the country to take stock of how much they are drinking by keeping a drink diary for the week.

Come to a road show

The Partnership has organised a road show around East Sussex to provide more information about alcohol and to give away freebies to help residents calculate their daily alcoholic intake.

The road show will be visiting Lewes, Bexhill, Hailsham and Eastbourne at the following venues throughout the week:

• Monday 19 October - Lewes Tesco

• Tuesday 20 October - Ravenside Bexhill Tesco

• Wednesday 21 October - Hailsham Quintins Shopping Centre

• Thursday 22 October - Eastbourne Arndale Shopping Centre

Do you know your units?

Do you know how many units are in a beer, a glass of wine or a gin and tonic? There is no better time than Alcohol Awareness Week (19 – 23 October) to learn about the units you drink and to know your limits.
