Appointments are being offered for the latest cervical screening clinics at Lewes Victoria Hospital.
The monthly clinics – on Tuesdays, 6pm-8pm with the last appointment at 7.40pm - are on:
· 8 December
· 12 January
· 9 February
Anyone woman aged 25-64 who missed their last screening – also called a smear test – or is due to have one shortly (see notes for news editors) can book an appointment by calling 01273 474153 ext 2145.
The clinics are in addition to cervical screening offered by GP practices, family planning and sexual health clinics.
“Early booking is advised as the clinics at Lewes Victoria Hospital have proved very popular,” says Jenny Greenfield, consultant nurse for cervical screening for NHS East Sussex Downs and Weald & NHS Hastings and Rother – the two East Sussex primary care trusts.
