New GP surgery at Ringmer ready 7 weeks early

Staff at the GP surgery in Ringmer have been given the keys to their new home seven weeks early.  The first patient was seen at Anchor Fields Surgery on Monday 22 June, instead of later in the summer as originally scheduled.

Dr Butti, Executive Partner at the Practice, said,

“We are delighted for staff and patients that the surgery is ready so quickly.  Many thanks to Westridge Construction for getting things done ahead of schedule.  The building is bright, spacious and pleasant.  It has excellent facilities and will meet the needs of the local people for years to come.”

The new building meets the latest standards with five consulting rooms for doctors and nurses, a treatment room and conference area.

The surgery at Anchor Fields is the branch surgery of River Lodge Surgery in Lewes.

The new surgery is on the opposite side of the car park from the previous practice building.

Designed by architect David Jenkins, the facility will meet demanding energy efficiency targets and will allow full access for disabled patients.

Working in partnership with NHS East Sussex Downs and Weald, the GPs commissioned the new building from Carisbrooke Medical Centres and builders Westridge Construction Ltd.
