Stuart Welling has been re-appointed as a Non-executive director of NHS Hastings and Rother and Chair of the organisation's Audit Committee by the Appointments Commission.
He was first appointed a Non-executive Director of NHS Hastings and Rother – the working name of the local primary care trust - in June 2007.
His new term runs from 14 June 2010 to 13 June 2014 and, as Chair of the Audit Committee, he will receive a remuneration of £13,136 per annum.

Stuart has worked as an independent consultant since retiring from the NHS in 2004 after more than 30 years service.
He was chief executive of the acute hospitals in Brighton from 1991 to 2004 and prior to that was regional finance director/ deputy regional general manger for the South Thames Regional Health Authority.
A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Stuart is married with three grown up children and lives in Bexhill.
He holds no other ministerial appointments and has not been involved in any political activity in the past five years.
The re-appointment was made in accordance with the Commissioner of Appointment’s Code of Practice.
All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.
However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public.
Hastings and Rother PCT was established on 1 October 2006 and covers a population of around 170,000.
The PCT is responsible for engaging with local people to improve health and well-being, commissioning high-quality health and social care services, and for providing services in community hospitals, health centres, clinics and people’s homes.
Its budget for 2010-2011 is £339 million.
