20 September 2010 - Free help and advice to ‘Stay Warm, Stay Safe, Stay Well’ this winter

Older people across the Hastings and Rother area can get free help and advice on staying warm, safe and well as the winter months edge closer.

 

A series of events are being held during late September and early October in Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Little Common, Battle and Rye.

 

People will be able to get advice and help to enable them to stay warm, safe and well during the winter and beyond from organisations including the local NHS, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and Age Concern.

 

Advice on pensions, benefits and switching fuel suppliers will also be available from agencies such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Pensions Service and Warmer Homes Initiative.

 

There will also be representatives from local Trading Standards, Police Community Support Officers, and the Independent Living Service.

Free tea and coffee will be served at each event, with the chance to be entered into a grand prize draw to take place after the final event on 6th October.
