The Minor Injuries Unit at the Lewes Victoria Hospital has revised opening hours this week due to unforeseen staff shortages.
This will mean that the unit will be closed on Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd July, with normal opening hours on Friday and revised open hours at the weekend.
NHS East Sussex Downs and Weald would like to apologise for this situation which is as a result of not enough staff being available, due to unexpected sickness.
Every effort has been made to try and replace staff, but unfortunately this has not been possible.
The next nearest Minor Injury Unit is at Uckfield Community Hospital which is open 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, 7 days a week. (Telephone 01825 745030).
