The two primary care trusts (PCTs) in East Sussex are holding their annual general meetings (AGM) in September.
The meetings will give local people the chance to hear from GPs about the ongoing work to implement the national NHS reforms in East Sussex.
They will also include presentations on the PCTs’ work over the last year. During 2010/11 responsibility for the management of East Sussex community health services transferred to East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The PCTs also developed closer relationships with East Sussex County Council.
In 2011/12 the focus will be on working as part of NHS Sussex to;
- support the emerging clinical commissioning groups in East Sussex
- improve the health and wellbeing of our older population
- ensure access to effective, efficient hospital care for those who need it
- improve the health and wellbeing of those whose mental health and is compromised
- improve the health and wellbeing of children and younger people.
The meeting will finish with a feedback session from members of the public.
The Annual Reports and Accounts will be available prior to the meeting. Alternatively a copy may be obtained on request by writing to: NHS Annual Report Request Office F16 36-38 Friars Walk, Lewes BN7 2PB
The agendas for the meetings are also available on our website.
