A Single Management Team has been in place across Hastings and Rother PCT and East Sussex Downs and Weald PCT since October 2006. Where other shared higher level management arrangements exist, a methodology agreed by the two PCT Boards ensures cross charging is made equitably between the two PCTs for these management roles.
The Single Management Team reviewed its meeting arrangements during 2008/09 and now meets formally fortnightly to discuss strategic development topics and effect resolution of operational and management issues. The Chief Executive and all Directors are accountable across both PCTs in East Sussex.
In order to manage the Arms Length Provider organisation with effect from 1st April 2009. The Provider Executive Team (PET) has also been established as an operational meeting to ensure that the objectives of the East Sussex Community Health Services (Arms Length Provider Organisation) are achieved. The PET will agree and recommend proposals to achieve both operational and strategic objectives.
