Certain drugs are restricted and may only be prescribed in certain circumstances under the NHS. The full details can be found in the Drug Tariff Part XV111B.
The prescriber must endorse the prescription item “SLS” if the patient and purpose comply with that specified in the Drug Tariff.
Where prescribing falls outside the regulations, the drug MAY NOT be prescribed on the NHS.
